JamSal Acrobatic Troupe & Dancers is a team of passionate and experienced young acrobats based in Kenyan coastal town Mtwapa in Kilifi County. The troupe was formed by two great friends James Kai and Salim Khalfani early in 2001. This was after their completion of their high school. As young kids back in school they used to participate fully in physical education classes which later led them into liking gymnastics and acrobatics.
The troupe is comprised of seven male and three female artistes. They have performed together for over twelve years. They started by performing locally at small clubs, schools and events that were organised for the youths in the community.
It was not that long when the hotels in the tourism industry started calling them to perform for a fee. This brought new hopes to the young acrobats as they gave their best shot. Our performances are ideal for wedding ceremonies, birthday celebrations, parties, private occasions, festivals, fairs or just for that 'Special Occasion'.
The acrobatics, Traditional dances, African songs from Kenya blended together to give the audience a 30-45 minutes or more of "pure Africa" relaxing, exciting, feel the rhythm, feel Kenya.
Local performances in the country
The acrobatic troupe has had local performances in some of the best clubs, hotels, and resorts in Kenya such as Sun N Sand Resort Beach, Royal Reserve Safari and Beach Club, Club Casuarina, Neptune Beach Resort, Sarova Whitesands Beach Resort and Spa, Pinewood Hotel and Official government events in Garissa.
International performances
The troupe has performed exclusively in Europe for the past six years. They begun in Turkey at Rexos Hotels, Delphin Hotel, and Adam and Eve Hotels; in Seoul Korea at Everland Resort; in Germany at Tropical Island; and in Israel at Dorolla Circus.
